(Each of these are a website and collectively the websites, throughout its various subsidiaries are collectively known as we, us or our. )  “Stitchworks”  wants you to know that we take your privacy seriously and we take steps protect your information.    Because we do, our Website Policy states what we collect and how that information is collected, for what purposes we collect that information, how that information is used, who we share it with and under what circumstances that information is or will be released.  We want you to know that you have a choice regarding the collection or dissemination of any personal information, and how you can exercise your options.  Our Website Privacy Policy will also explain what rights you have in relation to your personal information, what steps we take to secure your private information and what steps you should take to safeguard that information.  Finally, our Website Privacy Policy will tell you who you can contact regarding questions about our Website Privacy Policy.


What Information Do We Collect?


We collect on the information that is necessary to provide the services offered via our Website to comply with the legal obligations, to facilitate transactions with you and to gather information about general Website traffic on our various Websites, and no additional information other than is necessary will be requested without first informing you.  Among the information we collect will be personal information you provide when you register with our site when you order or register as a customer.  In addition, our servers will keep track of previous orders linked to your email and registration for our staff to assist you in future orders.  In no way, shape or form, will this information be used for any other purpose but to assist in helping our customer base in ordering and providing customer service.  We do not outsource our information or sell our information to third parties.

When you register for an account with us through any of our Websites, we may collect information from you such as:

Business name if it applies

Your password (it will be encrypted by our server and will not be visible by our staff)

We may request additional information from you depending on certain transactions, contractual or requirements of the sale.  We will notify you of what information and/or files we will need if they are necessary and how they will be used.  This information is used to contact you to answer your question about us and to complete orders, confirm purchases and conclude other transactions related to purchases made online from our Websites that you have initiated with or through us.


Information We Collect From Persons Who Access Websites


We also collect information about you and your computer when you click on any of our Websites.  We log your IP address, browser type, access type, access time and referring site to help diagnose potential problems with our servers, to administer our Websites, track and report Website traffic and potential for marketing purposes for our company.  Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information only.  Our websites do not use cookies.


How Do We Collect Personal Information About You?


Most of the personal information we collect about you is information voluntarily provided by you when you contact us or submit information to us, such as a registration, online order, or question inquiry/communication.  Other personal information is available when you click on any Website and is collected electronically via our web engine.  Other personal information may be obtained by us from publicly available sources from time to time if absolutely necessary.


Why Do We Collect Personal Information About You?


We collect personal information to establish a business relationship with you, consummate transactions with you, facilitate doing business with you, and/or to respond to questions or concerns you may have via email or telephone.  Where we require personal information on you to perform any of the above and you do not decline to provide such personal information (as is your right), we may not be able to provide the relevant services to you.

Personal information collected by us is used to communicate with you and generally to facilitate doing business with you.  We use the information provided by you to communicate with you regarding your specific inquiries or to provide information about your specific order and/or questions about said order.


We DO NOT sell or release your personal information to any third party (except as set out in this Privacy Policy if it applies at all) without your consent, unless we are required to by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the edicts of the law or comply with an official investigation by a law enforcement agency.


We will occasionally send you offers from our website about annual events.  We have a separate email list for our coupon offers that is a voluntary list that must be joined separately.  


Who Do We Share Your Information With?


We may provide your personal information internally within our group of business entities.    We may provide vendors a name of a business, provided it is a transaction-related purpose.  (IE:  digitizing of embroidery designs)  We may provide transaction-related information to government or private auditors to inspect or validate our business practices, accounting records, or financial records.  Any release of information for such will be done under standard confidentiality restrictions.  


Do We Transfer Your Personal Information Outside Your Country?


Your personal information will be stored in the United States.  Your personal data may be stored and processed in any country where we or our affiliates or approved partners have facilities or operations. 


How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Information?


We retain your personal information in our databases until you opt out of us not having your information.  We will not email you constantly and will only use the information to provide you with previous ordering history and to contact you sparingly of annual events.  We have a separate email list for coupons and constant contact.  You may at any time remove yourself from our database or separate email signup list.  In doing so, your previous order history will be erased and our staff will not be able to help you with future orders.


Opt Out/Choice/Deletion


Upon registering, you have an option on each email conversation to email Stitchworks and exercise the option to:


Be deleted from the database

Choose to not be on the newsletter

Not be on the separate email list (there is a separate sign up for this)

Converse with the staff about questions not relating to an order
